Join the AAFC Video Community and Be Scene!

We believe communication is key! The AAFC Video Community is where people across the web can share ideas, give suggestions and show how they are working to improve the lives of their families and communities via video comments.

In order to establish this, we are utilizing this feature as a medium where people can openly discuss the state of their environments and proactively work towards establishing a more solid foundation and open dialog for positive change with other people who are in positions to help them facilitate change, i.e. State Representatives, mentoring organizations, law enforcement agencies, educators and various public officials.

The AAFC Video Community is an educational resource for all communities as; for example, a community from Atlanta will be able to view how a community in Dallas is dealing with a similar situation and possibly apply the same methods to enhance their environment.   Educators can view these clips with their students and utilize the information in class projects as the dialog and information is historically accurate and culturally significant to our diverse communities.

The most important aspect of this feature is the ability to enhance, in particular, the African American community’s common frame of reference (inaccurate media outlets) by establishing a forum where their own voices are heard and projected. We want to provide a true and correct platform upon which to build and advance the emotional and moral development needed to suppport African American families and communities across the nation.
