Education Pavillion
The AAFC Education Pavillion provides resources, information sessions and workshops from early childhood education to graduate, vocational & trade schools.
Education is key to life and the AAFC Education Pavillion provides an array of resources and options to suit a diverse community.
This pavillion is divided in three sections, early childhood education, secondary education and higher/vocational education.
Section I.
Early Childhood Education: Resources, information sessions and workshops promoting the importance of early childhood education, healthy daycare choices, development, screenings and activities.
Section II.
Primary Education: Resources, information sessions and workshops regarding public, parochial, private and home school education options, importance of parent/teacher relationships, mentoring, tutoring, learning disabilities, financial resources and testing information sessions.
Section III.
Higher/Vocational Education: Resources, information sessions and workshops on colleges, vocational/trade schools, online schools and certifications, career training programs and funding sources.
If you are an educator, speaker, workshop facilitator, school counselor or program director working within the educational field as defined above, the AAFC would like you to join this initiative.
The 2009 African American Family Conference will be held on Saturday October 3, 2009 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center 1101 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107.
